Dear Parents,
I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather that we have had the last two days. I was worried that winter was on its way back on Wednesday! The cold and rain were great inspiration for the children, who came up with a new piece for the Huffington Post. I will be sure to share it with you as soon as it is live.
A big thank you to everyone who bought books for the classroom. It was such a treat to find a large stack of amazing books waiting for me on Monday.
As you know, we were visited by the photographer Kamau Akabueze last week. Kamau shared one of his images of the students on Instagram, and I am sure you will agree that it is lovely! You can also read about a wonderful project he is supporting to help children in Brazil. You can see the image and read about the Brazil Project here. We are working on a project to share the children's images and poetry with you.
MATH:
This week, we continued our unit on Geometry, as we will next week. We are now moving into looking at angles and triangles.
LITERACY:
The children are finishing their books with their literature circles, and will be working on their book responses. Next week, we will begin writing creative narrative pieces.
Below is news from the PA. Have a great weekend!
